Orientation Program

Actors College of Theatre & Television is committed to ensuring that all students receive support in adjusting to life and study in Australia. An orientation program will be compulsory for all students prior to commencing their course
Orientation programs will be conducted at the beginning of each course intake. Where a student is admitted to a course late, the Support Services Officer will go through the orientation on an individual basis.

Students are provided with a range of learning support options and resources to help them meet course requirements and maintain attendance at no additional cost. This may include:

Welfare Services

Welfare services can include services that address the mental, physical, social and spiritual well-being of students. These services may include, through direct provision or referral, information/advice about: accommodation, counselling, crisis services, disabilities and equity issues, financial matters, legal issues, medical issues, mental health, peer mentoring, programs promoting social interaction, religious and spiritual matters, and stress-management. It may also include advice on academic and study issues.

Should you require additional support during the term of your course, please advise your Trainer / Assessor who will endeavour to refer you to an appropriate support service. Actors College of Theatre & Television offers a free training support service available to all students who have any questions or difficulties regarding their current training or employment as well as their future career development. The service aims to provide students with the information they need to help their own academic and career path. Our staff can assist you with questions regarding training and career pathways and opportunities, personal development opportunities, work placement and/or any other training / industry related questions.

This service offers practical answers to most of the questions and challenges faced by students in relation to their training and/or career. We are here to help and will always try to source the information you need to feel supported or refer you to an appropriate internal or external service if required. Actors College of Theatre & Television offers a referral to Life Resolutions Services at no additional cost.
