Accreditation

The Actor’s College of Theatre and Television (ACTT) is registered by VETAB to provide national qualifications. By studying at ACTT, a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), students can have confidence that courses are well structured, have built in quality control, achieve clearly defined learning outcomes and on satisfactory completion receive nationally recognised qualifications. Students can also be confident that if they gain a Certificate or Diploma at ACTT they are well placed continue their studies to the next level.


The following ACTT courses are accredited by VETAB:

*Certificate III in Theatre and Screen Performance (THE CORE), part time & full time
*Diploma of Performance Practice, full time
*Advance Diploma of Arts in Stage and Screen Acting, full time
*Certificate IV in Music Theatre, ( full time)

ACTT is approved by VETAB to also deliver the following qualifications from the nationally endorsed Entertainment Training Package:
*Certificate III in Live Production (Technical Operations), full time
*Advanced Diploma in Stage Management ( full time)

Quality is also assured through ACTT’s membership of the Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET).

The College applies the same rigorous quality standards to its other short courses, and to the youth courses, so that students not only really enjoy their time on the course, they achieve real learning outcomes and can progress their learning to the next level of their course pathway.

Privacy Policy

Personal information provided by a client to a staff member of ACTT will be maintained in confidence and will not be released to anyone outside of ACTT without the client’s written authorisation. The only exceptions to these procedures are those required by law. In these circumstances information may have to be released without the client’s consent. This would only occur in a situation where ACTT is ethically and legally responsible to report the situation to appropriate people. Such situations are rare, but would include:

•Cases involving child abuse or adult abuse in circumstances
where there is a court order
•Cases where records of ACTT are subpoenaed by a court of law
•Cases where there is evidence that the client is a danger to himself/herself or others


In a situation where ACTT believes that it is in the client’s best interests that the client have contact with other treating professionals, e.g. a doctor or psychologist, the client will be asked to sign a Permission to Release and Obtain Information Form. If authorised, ACTT will discuss issues relevant to the client’s disability and the impact on study with other professionals in order to best serve the clients interests. Clients should also note that information regarding their circumstances may be routinely shared between departments of ACTT for case consultation.

Austudy & Other Support

ACTT full time students are eligible to apply for financial assistance through the Commonwealth Department of Employment or Centrelink. ACTT full time courses are approved for Austudy/Abstudy/Youth Allowance assistance where applicable, including supplementary loans. Visit the centrelink website for more information.
The ACTT full time courses of one year or more in length are approved by The National Australia Bank (NAB ) for student loans. ACTT students who are enrolled in these courses can either apply directly at the National Bank to open an account and obtain the forms, or ring NAB on 13 13 12 and make the necessary arrangements. ACTT students who already have a National Bank account may contact the ACTT Admin Office for the forms.
