SHORT COURSES
Short courses and workshops start at regular intervals throughout the year. It is easy to enrol and pay online via the short course page by clicking here . If you’d rather talk to a us first or just pay a deposit to secure your place, call us on 02 9213 4500. Most peopel prefer to be able to discuss what is involved in a course and what might be the best course to suit them. Many of the short courses are accredited modules that lead to a statement of attainment. If you’ve had other training and experience and want to enrol directly into a more advanced course, we will recognise your prior learning (RPL) helping you move forward faster. PART TIME & FULL TIME COURSES
All part time and full time course require you to either audition or be interviewed by the college. A non-refundable application fee of $55 is required for all courses.
Professional Actor
To audition you are required to fill in an application form. Each applicant for the course must prepare 3 monologues, at least 2 from the audition booklet (available below). The audition is designed to provide a learning experience to all applicants as well as to satisfy both you and the ACTT panel that the course is suitable. ACTT ensures that everyone in the intake has a high level of ability, openness and commitment.The CORE
To apply for The CORE you must fill out an application form. As part of your application, we ask you to attend an acting workshop. To help you realise your goals, the workshop is designed to satisfy both you and ACTT that the course and you are a good match. No preparation is required. When you have returned the application form and the $55 application fee, you will be notified of the date and time of your workshop. Overseas students may only study full-time and should contact ACTT regarding their application process for The CORE.Music Theatre
To audition you are required to fill in an application form. The audition is designed to satisfy both you and the ACTT panel that the course and you are a good match, and to ensure that everyone in the intake will have a high level of ability, openness and commitment. We aim to make the audition a rewarding experience. Candidates need to prepare 2 songs: 1 ballad and 1 up tempo song (preferably music theatre), as well as a contemporary acting monologue. The dance component of the audition is led on the day so the only preparation is to feel confident and to bring appropriate clothing and footwear. Sheet music is required for the accompanist. Individual feedback is provided during and after the audition which all applicants find very valuable. Overseas and interstate applicants may prepare their audition on DVD or You Tube.Certificate III in Lighting and Sound Operation

Entry to the course is open to candidates 20 years and older who have significant experience in some technical, business or administrative aspect of live performance and aim to pursue a career in stage or event management. They must have excellent communication skills, and computer skills, a driver’s licence and a First Aid certificate are necessary pre-requisites. A CV and evidence of previous experience should be submitted with the application.
